Team News & Game Highlights- 9/7/08 A good start to the new season. Barry Chiler scored two early goals and Mike Russo added one later in the first half to give Medway the win against Wayland Wizards in Wayland. Best wishes to Dave Scott who is out for the season due to injury. We hope to see you back on the field in the Spring 2009 season. 9/14/08 2 - 0 Loss to Dover-Sherborn. We just didn't play our game. 9/21/08 1 - 1 Tie with Canton. Had lots of chances and should have scored four goals but we played well. Mike Bassett had the only Medway goal. (Where was our I-talian striker...oh yeah...at the Pats game. Great choice Mike!) 10/5/08 Medway 1 - Wayland Spirit 0. John Luczkow's goal at the end of a beautiful run was the only score of the day. This was a highly emotional game and some tempers ran hot but it was a good game. 10/8/08- Medway beats Arlington 3 - 1 under the lights at Medway High School. Mike Russo and Barry Chiler scored on PKs and Chuck Greenslit scored a header goal on a perfect night for soccer. Lou Guyott played very well in goal. *Bert who?* Last game of the regular season is at home on Sunday, 11/9 @ 10:00 AM. A win or tie puts us in the playoffs for the second consecutive season! A quick second half goal by Jim Sluetz gives Medway a 1 - 0 win over visiting Wayland Spirit and a trip to the playoffs! Next game is Sunday, 11/16 @ 8:00 AM at Stoneham High School vs. NS Internationals II.
