History- The Prospectors Dart Team was formed in late 1985 by Steve Brigham. Made up of novice players who all worked at the same company in Marlborough, we joined the Central Division of the Minuteman Dart League for the Spring season of 1986. The Minuteman Dart League is the largest steel tip dart league in the world! Our first match was played at The North Pond House in Hopkinton against the Midnighters on the day of the first space shuttle disaster. For 27 years we have been sponsored by and play out of The Prospector Saloon, 520 Lincoln St. Marlborough, MA. Over the years the team has won seven division championships and one Central Mass Area Championship. One of the original nine members is still on the current roster, Mike O'Rourke. The rest of the current roster consists of Bob Lewis, Nick O'Rourke, Jen Tanner, Russ Hollis, Ron Causey, Ray Causey, Joe Murphy and Mike Aurelio. |

Our 53rd season in the Minuteman Dart League!
PLAYOFF SCHEDULE: |
He got us interested in the game of darts. He formed the
Prospectors Dart Team in 1986 and got us into the Minuteman Dart League.
He was our captain and our leader. He was my friend for 23 years.
Steve Brigham died on 5/14/07, after a two year fight with cancer.
Rest in peace, my friend, you will not be forgotten. Every time I
pick up a dart, for the rest of my life, I will think of you. We have lost another teammate and friend. Our captain, John Lewis, one of the original 9 members of the team, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2009. |
